About Strike For Our Rights

Strike For Our Rights is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to shift the collective culture to support, organize, and promote strikes in the U.S. as a means of advocating for justice, equity, and systemic change.

We are 100% grassroots-led by volunteers just like you: teachers, students, parents, engineers, artists, entrepreneurs. We are BIPOC, queer, neurodivergent, and disabled. We come together to not just fight against unjust systems, but to support each other and create new, equitable systems where all people can thrive.

Our Mission

Strike For Our Rights is a non-profit organization devoted to empowering workers in the United States to leverage the value of their labor as a tool for collective action. We provide education around the history and efficacy of strikes, as well as resources and financial assistance to striking workers. We promote, organize, and support striking as a means of advocating for justice, equity, and systemic change. To this end, we will:

Collaborate

Collaborate with other groups to organize national strikes to enact lasting positive change.

Support

Support unions and workers in their work-based strikes to help them win the rights and decency they deserve.

Fundraise

Fundraise for those who cannot afford to strike so they have the resources to do so.

Fight

Continuously fight for and support workers, marginalized people, and everyone who needs a seat at the table.

Join Strike For Our Rights

Join us in organizing, supporting, and participating in change-making actions today, tomorrow, and in the future. Together we are stronger than hate and bigger than injustice.
