Countries use strikes to make change
3.5%
Of the population for positive results
Why a general strike?
We have voted and marched. We’ve emailed and called our representatives. We’ve waited while asking for and demanding change. We can’t wait any longer as our rights, working conditions, and environment crumble. It’s time for a general strike.
Strikes are a historically powerful tool for getting demands met when all else fails. This isn’t just a statement, it’s a fact: when at least 3.5% of the population participates in a general strike, the results are more often than not positive.

We've protested.
We've marched.
We've voted.
It's time we went on strike.
How does it work?
Stopping all economic activity until our demands are met.
Participants will withhold their labor, purchasing power, and/or school attendance. The goal of a general strike is to stop working, buying, and going to school to signal your support for change.
Supporting and funding those who can't afford to participate.
We aren’t leaving anyone behind in this fight. When you donate to our strike we will distribute those funds to individuals who need help meeting their needs (food, housing, energy) during the general strike. As a 501(c)(3), your donation is tax deductible.
Organizing a minimum of 11 million people for the biggest impact and result.
General strikes that have at least 3.5% participation from the total populace are more successful than those with less participation. This requires careful planning, patience, and time. Help our progress by getting involved.
Join us in striking for all of our rights
General strikes are a legal, nonviolent, successful way to show the government that we are no longer going to accept being ignored. When we unite and stand firm in our knowledge that we deserve better, big things happen.
